What happens after you hit submit
We keep the path from first contact to signed SOW short and honest. Here's the shape of a typical engagement — the full version, with deliverables, IP terms, and pricing model, lives on the FAQ page.
Reply within one business day
Dr. Maloney reviews every inquiry personally. You'll get either a 30-minute scoping call (free, no obligation) or a candid "this isn't a fit, here's who you should talk to" referral. No sales funnel, no junior engineer triage.
Scoping call & (if needed) NDA
On the call we'll dig into the technical problem, constraints, frequency band, timeline, and platform. If the work involves sensitive information we'll execute a mutual NDA up front — ours or yours. See the FAQ entry on NDAs for our standard terms.
Written proposal & SOW
You'll receive a fixed-scope study, hourly consulting agreement, or multi-phase development proposal depending on what fits the work. Each option lists deliverables, timeline, price, and IP terms in plain language. See the FAQ for cost ranges and engagement types.
Kickoff & weekly status
Once the SOW is signed we begin work within one to two weeks, depending on current load. You get weekly status — progress, blockers, decisions needed — plus interim deliverables at agreed checkpoints. Final delivery includes a written technical report on every engagement.
SBIR / federal contracts: MRS is structured to participate as prime or subcontractor on SBIR/STTR efforts. NAICS codes available on request; CAGE code in process. Mention SBIR in the form above and we'll send full registration details on the scoping call.
Other common questions — IP ownership, deliverable formats, frequency-range coverage, fabrication and measurement, AI/ML capabilities — are answered on the FAQ page. If yours isn't there, ask in the form and we'll address it on the scoping call.
