About MRS

Principal-engineer-led. No layers between you and the work.

Marietta Research Solutions is a two-person principal-engineer-led practice — backed by an extended contractor network — that exists to bring 30+ years of computational electromagnetics expertise directly to the clients who need it.

"Every engagement gets the principal engineer. We don't have junior staff to ramp on your problem — if you hire us, you get the inventor of the technique we're applying." — Dr. James G. Maloney

Our story

Marietta Research Solutions was founded by Dr. James G. Maloney after 25+ years across academia, defense, intelligence, and commercial industry — including roles as Chief Scientist at Georgia Tech Research Institute and co-founder of the engineering practice at Compass Technology Group.

The thesis is simple: the most useful EM consulting is also the most direct. A two-person practice means the engineer who scopes your problem is the engineer who solves it. A contractor network means we can scale to a multi-year phased-array program when needed — without turning into a body shop.

Continuation

Fragmented Aperture Antennas

Continuation and extension of the fragmented aperture concept.

How we scale

Two principals, plus a curated contractor bench. We pull in specialists by name when the work requires them — never by FTE count.

1

Mechanical & Fabrication

Antenna housings, RF enclosures, machining, and additive manufacturing partners — for getting your simulated design into measured hardware.

2

Test & Measurement

Anechoic chamber access, near-field ranges, and VNA-equipped measurement facilities for acceptance testing and validation.

3

Software & ML

Specialized contractors for surrogate modeling, GPU-accelerated solver development, and ML-driven optimization workflows.
